Canon EOS Digital Rebel (a.k.a 300D, Kiss Digital)

Jim Rose from Canon USA will be demoing the EOS Digital Rebel, the new, highly affordable digital SLR ($999 with lens, $899 body-only) from Canon. From the Digital Rebel press release:

The Canon EOS Rebel has gone digital. Adding to the world’s most popular line of autofocus SLR cameras, the new EOS Digital Rebel combines the quality, affordability and ease of use the Rebel is renowned for with the immediacy, vitality and economy that digital delivers. Sleek and stylish — with a high-grade titanium gray metallic finish — the Digital Rebel puts the power and flexibility of a single lens reflex camera into a compact, light weight, high performance, high resolution 6.3 megapixel package.

Panorama Photography

Jim Collum (http://jcollum.com) will be discussing the hardware and software he uses, along with tips and techniques, for creating panoramic images with digital cameras. Jim.

Photo Showcase and Tips

Members are also encouraged to bring in their favorite photographs that they’ve taken with their digital camera. Please write down your shooting technique and compositional notes on the back of the image or on a separate piece of paper. This is an excellent opportunity to receive constructive criticism, suggestions, and praise from other COBA members.

We will continue to have a small presentation on tips and techniques for
improving your photography skills. See the COBA forum for more information on
the tips and tricks we’ll cover in this presentation.
