Workflow and Photoshop CS

The November meeting of the Camera Owners of the Bay Area (COBA) user group will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) from 7:30-10:30 pm. The planned portion of the meeting will begin at 7:45 pm.

Workflow Workshop

Everyone has their own workflow for managing their digital images. For this meeting, we’re going to break up into groups by computing platforms (i.e. Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux) and talk about our own digital camera workflow techniques. Some things to prepare for the meeting include:

  1. What do you shoot — RAW, JPEG, or RAW+JPEG?
  2. How do you back up your images? To CD, DVD, or multiple hard drives?
  3. What software do you use to download your images?
  4. What software do you use to catalog and organize your images?
  5. What software do you use to process your images?
  6. What common tasks do you perform on images that you publish and/or print?

If you have a laptop that you can bring to demonstrate your workflow, that would be great! Everyone is bound to learn something new that they can incorporate into their workflow in the future!

Photoshop CS

I recently purchased Adobe Creative Suite Premium, which includes the latest version of Photoshop. For people who are interested, we will be conducting a side-by-side comparison between Photoshop 7 and Photoshop CS.
